Success Stories

This year 2011 we are successfully implementing the following projects:

 

Mar, 2011 We carried out a Project to Promote the Campaign Against Drug Abuse among the Youth. The project targeted over 200 youths from the local comunities of Busukuma Sub-county, Wakiso District in Uganda. Activities included Senstisation on the use and effects of Drug Abuse as a model for the campaign against use of illegal drugs, sports activities to get together the young people, among other activities. Feb, 2011 We carried out a Project to Promote Access to Education through the provision of Scholastic Materials to over 530 Needy Orphans and vulnerable Children  in Rural Community Schools of Busukuma Sub-county, Wakiso District in Uganda. Click Here to Download our Report.

Jan, 2011 We carried out a Domestic Hygiene and Sanitation Outreach: Educating Rural Households on Domestic Hygiene and Sanitation; and Supporting with construction of Dish Stands, Pit Latrine Cover Lids, Donation of Hand-Wash Basins, Soap Bars and Water Jerrycans. In 2011, Set Them Free International seeks to educate and compel people in Wakiso District to involve in commercial agricultural production in order to avert the current food shortage and improve the livelihoods of the people living below poverty line through provision of the following farm implements/inputs.

In 2010, Set Them Free International mobilized youths in Buso village Wakiso District involving them in various community activities like roads clearing, clearing bush, elderly homes cleaning, etc.

In 2010, Set Them Free International and organized games and sports events for youths in local communities of Busukuma sub-county, Wakiso District in order to bring them together, build up their social life, prevent them from idle reckless habits, spoke to them against drugs abuse, etc.
 
In the year 2008, Set Them Free International began the prevention of malaria i.e. through sensitization campaigns in local communities in Buwali village with provision for insecticidal mosquito treated nets to pregnant mothers and children under five, ensure access to health care, bush clearing, etc.
 
In the year 2008, Set Them Free International began the fight against HIV/AIDS i.e. through sensitization campaigns as well as referral prevention, care and support services provided by local partners. Below are youths benefiting in this project.
 
In the year 2008, Set Them Free International began providing capacity building and training to local groups in communities to promote the concept of self-help among target communities in order to contribute towards their own development and social well-being.
 
In the year 2008, Set Them Free International began promoting sustainable self-reliant schools through provision of material support to disadvantaged schools particularly in remote communities. Hope Nursery and Primary School in Busukuma sub-county, Wakiso District.
 
In the year 2007, Set Them Free International began supporting Orphans and Vulnerable Children with access to Education through Child Sponsorship by linking sponsors with children in disadvantaged communities. So far 80 children are benefiting through this programme with support from well wishers and partners.
