Within 15 DAYS in April 2012 we can make a BIG DIFFERENCE in UGANDA

You are most Welcome Join Us Today and Register: We are looking for 100 friends, partners and volunteers from all over the world including (Doctors, Nurses, Teachers, Counselors, Community Social Workers, Builders Peer, Educators and many more skilled people in various community activities)

Meet new people and Experience life in Uganda as you will be Changing Lives of the Rural Poor in 38 Villages of Busukuma Sub-county, Wakiso District in Uganda. Set Them Free International has been operational in this area for over 5 years, but within 15 Days we are looking forward to streamline:

1) Purse the following Activities:

  1. Assisting teachers in local schools with class’s education (teaching Maths and English, nursery rhymes and reading, etc).
  2. Mentoring youths and Coaching football and netball.
  3. Organizing outdoor activities like sports and games.
  4. Helping in Medical Workers in local clinics.
  5. Working with orphans and the eldery through gift givings.
  6. Working with local farmers to promote agriculture, animal keeping and food production.
  7. Slashing, Digging and Constructing protective walls around Water Sources (Exisiting Boreholes and Natural Shallow Water Wells).
  8. Sensitize local people on proper utilization of safe water, proper hygiene and sanitation practices and general cleanness.
  9. Sensitize local people on Proper Waste Management and how to reduce on water borne related diseases.
  10. Working with local women to promote income generating activities, advocacy and household work assistance to the elderly.

2) Construct the following: (this may extend to a whole month accordingly)

  1. Construct a Health Care Clinic
  2. Construct 2 Community Pit Latrines
  3. Constructing protective walls around  natural shallow water wells
  4. Constructing 1 Borehole  

Remember our Mission is to serve individuals and families in local communities and we are to make a BIG DIFFERENCE within 15 Days. You will be left feeling fulfilled as you have played a pivotal role on these 15 days in Uganda and see the smiles on the people’s faces in rural areas because of the care and affection that were provided by you.

Schedule to and from Uganda:

  • Day 1 Dates of Arrival to Uganda Entebbe International Airport, team members shall be picked from the airport and may choose to stay at choice hotels in Uganda community homes of local people in Busukuma our destination in Uganda.
  • Day 2 We shall all be oriented by the local staff through the Busukuma Sub-county Plan, Villages, Languages, Local People Status, Risks and Preventions, Etc.
  • Day 3 We shall move to see projects implemented by Set Them Free International in Busukuma Sub-county Uganda.
  • Day 4 - 19 We shall begin on our fore mentioned activities and constructions in the different select local areas. (descriptive implementation plan in the making)
  • Day 20 We shall summarize our work except for constructions and installation of equipment may go for a month.
  • Day 21 We move in local towns and Kampala City to do various window shopping, visit also sites of leisure, museum, zoo, churches, etc.
  • Day 22 We shall depart from Uganda.

What is Required of You:
